this is good I love the close up of the corn.I still think you should go darker on the corn. You could make the shadow gradate up the corn to give it some dimension.
I like the darker color you added to the cracks between the corn kernels (though I agree that you could go even darker for more contrast if you want to)and I love the way you made the yellow highlights on the corn. I also think it's great that some of the kernels are darker than others; it looks super realistic. And I'm not sure how you did it, maybe it's that the brightest kernels are in the middle, but the corn really has that curved look that it has on the cob. It looks like it's coming right off the page at you.
Good job! I am so pleased with the darker lines that you made! I very much like how the kernels are individual colors rather than a mass of yellow that is all the same value. Very good planning and thinking in this assignment! I think that moving forward, I want to see you prepare your surface in an interesting way and then paint over top of it. For example, lay newspaper or tissue paper down and then develop your image on it. I think this is going to give you more depth and texture to your work. You are doing great!
