niiiiice syd. I Love this one. It has such a good design in it! The way there is a focal point and a radiating structure makes it really interesting. The squiggly lines make me taste the tangy-ness, too. I love the color of the background, it makes it pop. Good work.
Great start to this artwork! You did a really nice job handling the design of the interior of the grapefruit and creating order from the squiggly lines. My one suggestion is to develop the peel and the background as fully as the middle. This will provide a rich sense of texture and color to the work to make it even more visually appealing (especially since you are using food as your focus!) Think about what kind of surface manipulation you can experiment with before starting your next piece so that the background is layered and as developed as what you will create within the food.

ReplyDeletevery nice. The rim around the grape fruit is rather lovely. Sadly I feel like there is a hole in the fruit due to conflicting shades.
