Concentration #4

 Kiwi

  1. Better Much Better! The dark back ground really works and makes high contrast between the kiwi. You might consider some darker greens around the edge, but just as an after thought.

  2. I like this piece; I think the radial structure is really strong. I love that the center is a really bright white, and the shades of green make this piece of fruit look fresh and delicious.

  3. I really like this Sydney! The dark brown background is great, as is the detailing around the kiwi's center. I think you should try tackling the strawberry again at a later date though, it had such potential!

  4. Hi Sydney! I feel like I am sounding like a broken record with all of my critiques so far of your work. I really, really want to see you develop your surface first in an interesting way and then work your food drawings on top of it. I would like to see you layer paper, words, caulk, etc, to build up a visual and real texture that you then develop your final drawing over. I think you will be so much more happy with the depth that it will add to your work!

  5. P.S. You are truly coming along in your investigation and I think if you also include a focus on process, you will be happier! You are doing great, keep it up!!!
