I think this turned out nice. I like the texture of the trunk and the leaves. I think you could add something more to the sky to make it more interesting.
I really like the unique perspective and the marker lines you added over the watercolor. I could see some darker values of green in the palm leaves for even more contrast.
Sydney - I like the way that you handled the tree and the perspective. However, I still think that you can add more to it. Why not consider collaging into the sky to layer paper and potentially text to really contrast against the tree? I think the marker did help to further define edges but I still want to see more of an emphasis on contrast!
i like how you added yellow and lighter green to make the picture more warm. Maybe you could go into the tree with faint red and add little details to make it contrast the sky?
