Breadth #4

  1. I really love the vibrant colors and the cool texture of your grapefruits. This one is really intriguing to look at because every grapefruit is a different size. I think it would look really cool to pick up the texture of the fruit and repeat it lightly in the blue sections. It looks great.

  2. This looks so great all finished up! That shade of blue was the perfect color to fill in the white, it really makes the details of the grapefruits pop.

  3. Sydney- You have a good composition and an interesting organization to space. My suggestion at this point is to go back and revisit your mark-making. Really look at the grapefruit...have you visually communicated the surface as effectively as you wanted? The organization is there for the composition and now all you need to do is focus on your visual story to further communicate about what the surface of the grapefruit looks like. I think if you spend just a bit more time on this drawing, you will be pleased!

  4. I love this one. It is a really interesiting take on something that can kindof be boring. i think i have seen you do other fruits in the past and you focused on small details, but i like how you decided to focus on the whole thing. Good Job syd. Maybe do something with the blue, like a design or pattern.
